  • Waiting for two of the slowest trains to cross tracks. Gotta get home and then catch tram on 7 minutes. Otherwise I'm late! This is not good! THIRD LAST CHANCE TO SEE OUR COMEDY FESTIVAL SHOW. Kicks off at 6:30 at the Croft institute. Tomorrow I'll be the story telling... So come then too. Or instead. :-)

  • Useless photo. This is whats left of a venue that allowed my dreams to come true. Two of my favourite nights ever happened in Manchester Lane. I was supposed to play at their re-opening in 2011... But the doors never re-opened. I didn't spend as much time in the city then, as I do now, so I knew where this was by car, but I was caught unaware walking past it just now, I had no idea that's where I was. 3 very significant memories came back to me. Meeting Jason Mraz for the first time in this alley in March 2005 and watching a show that changed my life, then vowing that one day, I too would fill the place with people. Then October 9, 2008, launching my first backing band in that same room. Then February 26 2009, launching my debut album to 225 people in that room. I then played there 3 other times and have has a good working relationship with the old booker there ever since. This is a significant alley. Hence the blog attached to a shitty photo. They had a great green room, and did not skimp on the rider. (Probably why they went out of business)
